JACK GREALISH dubbed Lee Carsley a "top, top manager" but was £500 lighter after another starring role under the interim boss.
The prospect of Carsley getting the long-term job remains in the balance but Grealish is clearly relishing his role under him.
Grealish, Trent AlexanderArnold and Declan Rice were on target to get England's campaign back on track but Carsley is set to go back to his role with the Under-21s after next month's remaining Nations League fixtures.
The Manchester City attacker said: "He is a top, top manager and I love playing for him."
Grealish's delight was not remotely diluted by a debt to Alexander-Arnold that came from the moments prior to the Liverpool full-back's sensational strike for England's second. Grealish said: "I joked to Trent before the free-kick, 'Score this I will give you 500 quid' ... and he slapped it in the top bin."
