A MAN once jailed for his role in a drive-by shooting is back behind bars after being caught with a gun and bullets in his home.
Steven McGarry, 37, was stopped by police driving an Audi Q5 near Rangers' Ibrox Stadium in January.
Police searched his twobedroom home in Paisley and found a gun and 15 rounds of ammunition inside a sports bag in a bedroom cupboard.
He was sentenced to six years and eight months at the High Court in Glasgow having pled guilty to firearms charges last month.
The firearm was found to have been converted at some stage to allow the discharge of 9mm bullets.
The original model and serial markings had been removed by milling.
