LONG shot Mike De Decker almost quit darts after losing his Tour card five years ago - now he is a major champ after the week that changed his life.

In a massive shock at Leicester's Mattioli Arena, 100-1 outsider De Decker banked the first TV major of his career with a 6-4 win against world No.1 Luke Humphries in the World Grand Prix Final.

The £120,000 top prize catapulted the Belgian into the top 25 of the Professional Darts Corporation's order of merit.
