£3.5M STING OF THE ROAD

SPEED cameras at one notorious set of roadworks could have raked in up to £3.5million in fines.

Police data shows almost 35,000 drivers have been caught speeding through a temporary 50mph limit, which could have cost them a £100 penalty at least.

The cameras were live on a 15mile stretch of the M27 between Southampton Fareham, and Hants, for the past three years.
