ARCHIE Battersbee has died following the withdrawal of his life support after his family lost a legal fight to keep him alive.
The 12-year-old boy passed away in hospital after a last-ditch bid to have him transferred to a hospice was rejected.
Outside The Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel, east London, his mum Hollie Dance said her “beautiful little boy” died at 12.15pm yesterday.
Speaking through tears, she said: “He fought right until the very end, and I am so proud to be his mum.”
Archie, who had been in a coma since he was found unconscious at home on April 7, was being kept alive by ventilation and drug treatments.
