AND HELLO TO A 30C HEATWAVE
ALISTAIR GRANT
Bye of storm

A PLUME of hot weather is on its way to rescue our summer.

After Storm Antoni’s battering, which came with a “danger to life” warning yesterday, a 700 mile-wide Spanish sizzle will arrive on Wednesday and stay for four days.

It will be the first good weather of the school break – with highs set to nudge 30C – after the wettest July on record for parts.

Yesterday was the UK’s worst summer day’s weather for years, with Antoni walloping holidaymakers with 70mph gales, 15 hours of rain and chilly temperatures.
