COPS IGNORE AUTO THEFTS

POLICE are turning up to investigate fewer than one in four car thefts amid a surge in the crime.

Shocking figures reveal forces covering England and Wales attended just 10,963 of 47,228 (23%) car thefts last year.

That's down from 24.72% on the previous year, figures obtained by Liberal Democrats via Freedom of Information requests reveal.
