GARY Numan says he saw the ghost of an old man in 1940s clothes on the London Underground.

The Cars singer and a pal were walking behind him out of a station before he vanished through a leaving them wall, both "terrified".

Gary, 66, said he left the Tube at Piccadilly Circus with his friend Garry Robson and was "following the people ahead of me".
