JOANNA Lumley says her late father helped guide her through stormy seas near Madagascar on her latest travel series.
The actress, 76, was making a documentary for ITV exploring the centuries-old spice trade.
Dame Joanna said: "There were challenging moments but I think it's good to live on your toes a bit and I enjoy doing things that scare me.
"I've never been terribly keen on travelling on boats but I think I ended up on 27 of them.
