Kompany salutes fighting spirit as Clarets hit back

BURNLEY boss Vincent Kompany hailed his improving side as they produced a battling comeback to maintain their unbeaten start.

Defender Dan Potts’ first goal since February 2021 put the visitors on course for a famous win.

But midfielder Josh Brownhill fired a 50th-minute leveller and Kompany said: “You always want to win, but I saw a spirit and high energy in the game from my players.

“But it wasn’t torpedoes coming at our goal for 90 minutes, the game was where we wanted it to be. I’ve been wrong before but Luton are a play-off team. They are very good.
