DAVID MOYES has revealed his former chairman Bill Kenwright tried to get him back to Everton "several times" after the Scot's departure from Goodison Park.

And the West Ham boss said the theatre impresario was "thrilled" when he won the Europa Conference League with West Ham last season.

Moyes spent an unhappy season at Manchester United after leaving Everton in 2013 and he went on to manage Sunderland and Real Sociedad before a first stint at the Hammers.

The Scot, now 60, had been in talks to return to Everton in 2019 before Carlo Ancelotti was appointed.
