After the 5-1 home defeat to Newcastle on Wednesday night the knives were again being sharpened for the under-fire Hammers boss.

A pre-game mocked up image of West Ham players arriving at Craven Cottage via canoes posted by the club's social media added to the view of a manager up the creek without a paddle.

Despite leading via a 28th-minute Harrison Reed own goal, a double substitution on the hour was greeted with howls of "You Don't Know What You're Doing" from the away end.

And at full-time a "Moyes Out" banner was raised.

"I can't really answer to that," said Moyes. "People can do that if they choose to do so.
