A 27-MEMBER Punjab police team flew four close aides of Waris Punjab De chief Amritpal Singh to Dibrugarh in Assam Sunday morning. Among those lodged in the Dibrugarh Central Jail is Daljit Singh Kalsi, learnt to be Amritpal's close aide and financier of Waris Punjab De. The other three are Bhagwant Singh, Gurmeet Singh and Pradhanmantri Bajeka.
Meanwhile, district police chiefs carried out flag marches in major towns in the state and the Punjab government extended the suspension of the internet. The hunt for Amritpal Singh continued for the second day. A lookout notice is likely to be issued against him soon, sources in the police said.
