The child, identified as Aryan Meena, fell into an open bore-well while playing near his house in Kalikhad village of the district on Monday. Officials said the child's mother Guddi Devi saw him slip and fall into the borewell while working in a nearby field.

"He was playing and he suddenly fell into the borewell. I saw him falling and started screaming for help," the mother said. "Villagers arrived and informed my husband and police about the incident."
