The latest buzzword in town, 'girl dinner' has quickly gone on from being a social media construct to a cultural phenomenon favouring no-fuss snack plates over full meals

Is your plate of 'girl dinner' healthy enough?

In the Indian context, it represents a more significant change in our eating patterns that started before the pandemic. Simply put, we're munching more these days, be it at the party where we are only limited to snacks or on a cosy movie night where nibbles seem more tempting than fullblown meals.

"I can call my dinner girl dinner every day. The only catch is that I prefer keeping it healthy," says Nida Mahmood, fashion designer, adding, "I snack on carrots and cucumbers with a healthy dip and maybe some grilled vegetables or chicken."
