The attack on an Enforcement Directorate (ED) team that tried to search the house of a Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader in West Bengal's North 24 Parganas district on Friday, as part of a probe into an alleged ration distribution scam, triggered a political row as opposition parties called it an "assault on the federal structure" and demanded imposition of President's rule in the state.
