Spider-Man 4
Actor Tom Holland has revealed that work on the next instalment in the Spider-Man franchise, which was in its early stages, is on pause at the moment. "We've put the meetings on pause in solidarity with the writers. There have been multiple conversations, but at this point, it's [all in] very, very early stages," Holland told Variety.
Unstoppable
Jennifer Lopez's Unstoppable, backed by her husband, actor Ben Affleck, is the latest project to be 'stopped' indefinitely. The film was being shot in Los Angeles, USA, when it was disrupted by strikers earlier this week. Now, the makers hope to resume its filming at a later date when things get settled.
Deadpool 3
The much-awaited third part in the Deadpool franchise began filming in the middle of the strike, leaving lead actor Ryan Reynolds in quite a conundrum. Known to improvise, Reynolds, who is also credited as a writer, is unable to tweak the script as a WGA member. In the capacity of a producer, though, he may make modifications while refraining from any "writing practices". It remains unclear if this will push the film's release date.
Thunderbolts
The upcoming movie starring Sebastian Stan and Florence Pugh has also taken a hit. Deadline reports that the studio has suspended production on the film, which was due to start its principal photography. The decision came after Marvel paused the preproduction of another film, Blade.
