€10m more for Dublin crime blitz

JUSTICE Minister Helen McEntee will give Garda Commissioner Drew Harris an extra €10million to tackle crime in Dublin, it has emerged.

The Irish Mirror learned she secured the war chest from Public Expenditure Minister Paschal Donohoe – and it will fund more officers on the beat.

Ms McEntee is set to make the announcement later today at a passing out parade for 87 new officers at the Garda college in Templemore, Co Tipperary.
