A lifelong Blue... so happy to work on the new ground

A CONSTRUCTION worker who died while building Everton's new stadium was a lifelong fan of the Toffees, his family said.

Michael Jones, 26, was "so happy" to be working on the club's €885million new ground on the Liverpool waterfront.

He suffered severe head injuries on Monday at Bramley Moore Dock and died in hospital later that day.

Michael's family said: "The family would like to thank everyone for their ongoing support.

"It is with our greatest sadness that our beloved son, brother, uncle and friend Michael has sadly passed away.
