AMY 10 OUT OF 10

AMY O'CONNOR was put forward for media duties ahead of the All-Ireland camogie final and urged reporters to 'go easy'.

If only she'd taken her own advice on final day then Waterford might have stood a chance of making off with a maiden title.

The Cork captain was utterly ruthless and didn't so much lead by example as take a sharpened axe to Waterford's hopes of a landmark win. She finished with 3-7 in total - 10 scores from 10 attempts.

All three of her goals arrived in a matter of minutes early in the second-half as Cork wrapped up a 29th title win long before full-time.

Sorcha McCartan, son of Down football great Greg, and Fiona Keating slammed in goals too on a red letter day for after camogie. Cork trudged off the field in disappointment final defeats in 2021 and 2022.
