EUPHORIA star Angus Cloud's Irish cousin has paid tribute to the "lovely guy" who adored Ireland and played a role just "as the man he was".

The 25-year-old actor was beloved by young fans across the world for his role as kind-hearted dealer Fezco O'Neill in the drama which also starred Zendaya.

The performer, whose full name was Conor Angus Cloud Hickey, passed away on Monday, a week after laying his father, Conor Hickey, to rest.

Though Angus was raised in Oakland, California, his father was born and bred in Dublin, who left for America as a young man for work.

Last summer, Angus, who was fiercely proud of his Irish roots, visited Banagher in Co Offaly.

He even took part in an amateur Christmas movie for his cousin, Gerald Hough, to advertise JJ Hough's pub in the town.

Gerald said: "Angus was a lovely guy. He played the role of Fez in Euphoria, just how he was in real life - a really kind person. It's a terrible loss. His father passed away and I kind of think it was tough on all the family.
