Asylum seekers now risking DEPORTATION

ASYLUM seekers who fled sinister protests could be deported – for leaving their accommodation.

The policy which targets refugees who don’t keep in touch with immigration officials was confirmed to the Irish Mirror last night.

People Before Profit TD Richard Boyd Barrett said the foreign nationals based at Magowna House near Inch, Co Clare, should not be punished for being intimidated.

Thirty-four asylum seekers were placed at the centre at the beginning of the week but locals and other protesters set up a blockade on the road outside.

The picket has continued all week with the protesters saying that Magowna House is unsuitable for the asylum seekers, all male, and calling for them to be moved.
