TWO men have been quizzed by gardai over an attack on one-time murder suspect lan Bailey.
The man who had been linked to the killing of Sophie Toscan du Plantier, was allegedly assaulted when he met a number of women who had contacted him online on what is suspected to be a deliberate set up.
The incident last November happened in Bantry, Co Cork, where the 64-year-old former English journalist now lives.
He thought the girls were TikTok fans who wanted to video a clip with him.
Instead a number of young men jumped out of a car and beat him up.
Bailey received a number of kicks to the head and was lucky to escape without serious injury.
