Bank Holiday safety appeal

In less than 12 hours, a motorcyclist was killed in Cavan on Wednesday night and three people died in Tyrone following a 7am crash yesterday.

The four fatalities is the same number of road victims who died during last year’s May Bank Holiday, according to the Road Safety Authority.

It yesterday urged road users to “take greater care” while safety campaigner Clare Egan, whose mum Theresa was tragically killed in a collision over the August Bank Holiday in 2007, also issued an appeal.
