Biggest drone blitz on Russia

UKRAINE launched its biggest-ever drone attack deep inside Russia overnight yesterday, sparking a major fireball and smashing Moscow’s warplanes.

For four hours waves of drones hit an airport close to Estonia and Latvia, and a further five Russian regions were targeted by scores of unmanned planes.

In a major escalation, Kyiv’s drone controllers hit four II-76 planes, designed to move large numbers of troops and war machinery, and sparked a major fire at the Pskov airport, 400 miles north of the Ukrainian border.

As Russia came under its fiercest attack on home territory since it launched its full-scale invasion on Ukraine 18 months ago, it launched its own strikes.
