CAR BAN PLAN IS CONFIRMED

A BAN on cars in Dublin's city centre is set to be implemented from next year, the National Transport Authority confirmed.

In a wide-ranging plan, roads will be reallocated to public transport services, cyclists and pedestrians.

The radical proposals will see private motors banned from sections of the north and south quays, close to O'Connell Bridge.
