Cillian to miss Dublin premiere amid strike

CILLIAN Murphy will no longer attend the Dublin premiere of Oppenheimer this weekend, due to the ongoing Hollywood actors' strike.

The event is set to go ahead, but no red carpet will be rolled out for the Cork man.

Murphy, Emily Blunt, Florence Pugh and Robert Downey Jr were among the stars who walked out ahead of the film's screening in Leicester Square on Thursday.

Their protest came as Sag-Aftra, an American union representing 160,000 film and television actors, said its members had decided to strike for the first time in decades.
