KEVIN DE BRUYNE said Manchester City and Arsenal players raised their concerns over the new time-wasting directive at Wembley.

And he revealed nobody, not even the team of match officials for the Community Shield on Sunday, led by Stuart Attwell, were in favour.

New guidelines for added time have been introduced to 'tackle time wasting and increase effective playing time, with at least 10 extra minutes the new normal.

But if even Arsenal players are questioning the directive, despite benefitting from it to score an equaliser in the 11th minute of added time before winning the match on penalties, you can expect the issue to remain high on the agenda.
