Coalition 'can win election'

TAOISEACH Leo Varadkar said the Government coalition could continue after the next General Election.

The Fine Gael leader added while he wishes Sinn Fein the "best of luck", its current performance in opinion polls "does not a Government make".

Fianna Fail, Fine Gael and the Greens entered a coalition in June 2020.

It was the first time in the history of the State FF and FG came together to form a Government.

Speaking on Newstalk's The Pat Kenny Show yesterday, the Taoiseach said he believes there is a "very good chance the current Government will be elected again by spring 2025.
