SUPER CUP hero Cole Palmer wants to stay at Manchester City but admits his future remains uncertain.

City's academy graduate has grabbed his chance following the departure of Riyad Mahrez with a goals in the Community Shield and the Super Cup (right).

Yet Palmer admits he could be better served pursuing his career away from the Etihad if, as seems likely, City go into the market for another player in his position.

Palmer had been linked with a loan move away with West Ham keen to take him for a season. It is understood City turned down a £30 million offer from Brighton for the Wythenshawe-born forward last week. But Pep Guardiola ruled out a loan move in the aftermath of the penalty shootout victory against Sevilla in Athens on Wednesday, reducing Palmer's options to either staying or leaving.
