DUBLIN IS STILL A SAFE PLACE

JUSTICE Minister Helen McEntee has responded to the US decision to issue urgent crime and personal safety advice to citizens arriving here this summer.

The warning comes as one of their citizens remains in hospital after a brutal attack in Dublin city centre last week left him with life-changing injuries.

The warning was issued by the Irish Embassy at Ballsbridge in Dublin.

Ms McEntee said: "The Embassy have updated their information and what information they give to their citizens around their travelling, around their security, around their safety.

"This is following a number of incidents and I need to be clear, it's not OK what happened last week to an American citizen.
