DUBLIN'S NOT FEAR CITY

JUSTICE Minister Helen McEntee said she still believes Dublin city centre is “safe”.

Her comments come just days after an American tourist was brutally beaten and kicked in the head in the capital.

The Fine Gael TD was speaking during a visit to Store Street Garda Station with Public Expenditure Minister and Dublin Central TD Paschal Donohoe.

The victim, a 57-year-old man originally from New York, suffered life-changing injuries following the attack which happened just metres away from the Garda station on Wednesday night.

He is still being treated in Beaumont Hospital for injuries to his head and eye.
