..on-form Longford make late surge to reach the play-offs
GAVIN A GO..

THEIR dramatic away wins over last weekend must be the springboard for the remainder of Longford Town’s season.

So says first team coach Gavin Peers after Town came from 2-0 down early in the second half to stun Bray Wanderers with a four-goal salvo at the Carlisle Grounds on Monday afternoon.

That followed Friday’s come-from-behind 3-2 defeat of Treaty United at Markets Field.

Longford haven’t been in the top half of the table all season.

But Stephen Henderson’s revitalised midlanders are one of the form teams in the second tier with four wins and a draw from their last six games and sit just a point behind fifth placed Wexford with 10 games to play.
