THE Irish rugby squad are now setting their sights on World Cup glory following their historic Six Nations Grand Slam win.
The heroes in green painted the town red at the weekend with a celebration to beat them all after clinching a first Grand Slam in Dublin.
The Shelbourne Hotel was the central point for buoyant players and fans alike, as Andy Farrell’s triumphant men partied the night away in the famous five-star venue located just off Stephen’s Green.
The players were pictured singing songs of celebration at the hotel throughout the night as the Six Nations trophy was held aloft.
And while allowing his men to enjoy this success, Farrell already has his eye on the World Cup in France later this year, as he fired a warning shot to all our rivals.
Farrell confidently predicted: “We expect our side, when we get to the first game in the World Cup, to be a lot better than what we are now,”
Meanw hi le , hi s players were showing no major signs of a hangover yesterday as they greeted fans who had camped at the Shelbourne in jovial mood.
