'Hamas out!'

HUNDREDS of Gazans marched against Hamas in a rare show of defiance against the group.

And across the border, angry Israelis protested against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's refusal to end the war.

As many as 2,000 Palestinians took part in escalating demonstrations against their Hamas rulers, chanting "stop the war" and "the blood of our children is not cheap".

In the Shijaiyah neighbourhood of Gaza City yesterday, witnesses reported dozens of men yelling: "Out, out, out! Hamas get out!"

Videos showed protesters in the ruined northern town of Beit Lahiya, as some of the marchers cried: "We don't want to die."
