HE'LL KILL ME

TRAGIC Seema Banu suffered a two-year campaign of violence before she and her two children were strangled, an inquest has heard.

Dublin’s District Coroner’s Court was told she once warned that her husband will “kill me”.

It also heard how after the family arrived in Ireland in December 2018, evil Sameer Syed beat his wife for the first two weeks repeatedly.

She told a shop worker that he “tortures” her all of the time.

She made the claim just under two years before she, her daughter Asfira, 11, and six-year-old son Faizan Syed were found dead at their home in Llewellyn Court, Rathfarnham, South Dublin, in October 2020.

Ms Banu’s husband was charged with their murders but took his own life in the Midlands Prison last year before he stood trial.

Yesterday morning, Seema’s nephews, who have travelled from India with the assistance of gardai, were present at the inquest with a translator.

Kamram Khan, a security guard in Dunnes Stores at Beacon South Quarter in Sandyford, South Dublin, gave evidence about his encounter with the mum-of-two on Christmas Eve 2018.
