SAMURAI sword killer William Eagers made a video confessing to his wife's murder on his phone - and planned to take his own life, the Irish Mirror can reveal.
The 62-year-old part-time taximan also punched tragic Jean Eagers in the face just weeks before he took her life in a horrific attack at their home.
The killer will be handed down a mandatory life sentence later this month after he pleaded guilty to the murder of Jean in their house in Willow Wood Grove, Hartstown in Clonsilla, north Dublin on June 21, 2020.
Before 11.30am that day, Eagers walked upstairs and got his samurai sword before he came down and repeatedly stabbed Jean.
A family member, who was also in the home, fled to a neighbour's house and raised the alarm.
The Garda Armed Support Unit arrived and established the victim was lying lifeless in the house.
