SEAMUS Power concedes that his debut Ryder Cup hopes could live or die on his FedEx play-offs performance.
The Waterford star is not currently among the automatic qualifying places for the European team.
If things don't change in his favour then he will be relying on one of team captain Luke Donald's six picks to tee it up in Rome in September.
Playing in the Ryder Cup has always been Power's dream - and his appetite was whetted further at this year's Hero Cup, when Ryder Cup legends Jose Maria Olazabal and Sam Torrance spoke about their experience.
"We don't have that many opportunities to play for something so much bigger than just yourself and guys love it, they miss the team element," said Power.
"Ah, it would be so special, right at the top of the list.
