EVEN his manager describes Beto as "raw", but for Sean Dyche those rough edges to the striker's game - combined with a "real hunger" - will make him a fans' favourite.

And the Portuguese forward, who came up the hard way through amateur football in his home country while working in a KFC, wants to repay the instant love supporters have shown with the fight and desire they demand.

The 25-year-old scored on his Everton debut in the Carabao Cup and then followed up with an aggressive, all-action display on his opening bow in the Premier League, at Sheffield United.

Now, the 6ft 4in centre-forward is promising even more on his Goodison Park debut, in Sunday's match against Arsenal.
