KNOWING WHAT'S COMING IS VITAL

ANDY FARRELL claims Ireland have stress tested themselves into a position to have a successful World Cup.

The Ireland squad arrived at their main base for the finals in Tours on Thursday and will have an official welcome to the city this evening.

The head coach hopes it will be the start of a long and productive stay in France as Ireland hit the tournament as the world's No.1-ranked side.

Farrell played in league and union World Cups, was defence coach under Stuart Lancaster when England disastrously hosted in 2015 before filling the same role for Ireland at the last finals.
