Charities and kids net €4m raised in Tubs Toy special

Late Late joy show for 147 charities

Showbiz Editor AS many as 1.2 million children in Ireland and 147 charities have benefited from the Toy Show appeal, RTE has revealed.

Almost €4million was raised last November by Late Late Show Toy Show viewers, with two NGOs - First Fortnight and City of Dublin YMCA - receiving the highest payments of €60,000 each.

Other charities who benefitted the most included NASC The Irish Immigrant Support Centre in Cork and Belong to LGBTQ+ Youth Ireland, which both received €58,000.

And €50,000 went to Down Syndrome Ireland, Sensational Kids, Cork and Crosscare, while Cancer Fund for Children were among those who received a generous €55,000.
