A MAN has pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of his mother's partner who died of blunt force trauma and was found with a sofa covering his body from the waist down.

Andrew Nash had gone on trial on Monday charged with the murder of Jonathan "John" Ustic, between September 24 and 25, 2017, at High Street in Skibbereen, Co Cork.

The Central Criminal Court sitting had heard Nash,43, allegedly attacked the 51-year-old victim raining blows down on him and slicing him in the ear with a broken bottle.
