High five for Villa as Tyrone keeps their Euro dream alive

MINGS THE MERCILESS

TYRONE MINGS headed Aston Villa up to fifth in the Premier League - to pile on the misery for crisis club Spurs.

Villa leapfrogged manageress Tottenham with an impressive, deserved win.

The only surprise was they did not beat Fulham by more, and in the end had to rely on Mings' first-half header.

Villa's resurgence under Unai Emery continued and they maintained their record of scoring in every game under their Spanish boss.

Flying left-back Alex Moreno carried a huge threat as he repeatedly rampaged down the flank. Fulham rarely looked like getting much from the contest and continued to miss their suspended top scorer Aleksandar Mitrovic.
