PUTIN RECRUITS A GRANDAD'S ARMY

DESPERATE Russian President Vladimir Putin has hiked the maximum age for troops to 70.

New laws will mobilise an even older grandad’s army of reservists.

Men who hold the highest ranks such as general can be called back to the front at 70 instead of 65.

Lesser ranks can be drafted at 65 and junior officers can be sent to the front at 60. Troops who have completed compulsory service and are reservists can be called up at 55, instead of 45.
