Dean hasn't great memories of Navan but is looking forward to another Blues day on the road

PAIRC TAILTEANN doesn't hold happy memories for Dean Rock.

The seven-time All-Ireland winner, who turned 33 last month, suffered a serious hamstring injury there as a young and upcoming player.

As Dublin prepare to go to the Navan venue for what is astonishingly their first League game in the town since December 1988, Rock (below) reflected on a nasty injury that left him sidelined for a long spell.

"I tore my hamstring off the bone against their Under-21s in Navan in 2011," he recalled. "But it's a great pitch, it's one of my favourite pitches to play on. It should be a great game - Paddy's weekend, Dublin-Meath, a lot on the line.
