Musk rocket crashes in ball of flames as first test flight flops

ELON Musk's new rocket blew up minutes after take-off on its maiden test flight yesterday.

The blazing SpaceX Starship plunged into the Gulf of Mexico as throngs of spectators watched from a beach.

There were no crew or satellites on board the ruined craft.

Twitter boss Musk had scheduled the flight for America's National Weed Day.

But the explosion marked what must have been the quickest ever come down from a high. After it blew up, a commentator declared: "Starship just experienced what we call a rapid unplanned disassembly.
