Stress from being accused of Sophie murder has caused two heart attacks

IAN Bailey believes the stress from years of being suspected of murder finally caught up with him in the form of two heart attacks.

Former journalist and poet Bailey, 65, who has always denied murdering French film producer Sophie Toscan Du Plantier, said: "Ah look I don't think anyone's been put through more stress in a lifetime than I have.

"The amazing thing is people used to say to me, 'I don't know how you handle it'. Eventually things catch up. But I'm on the mend.
