A GUINNESS lover is aiming to have a pint in every Irish pub in the world and has so far tried 75 bars in 41 countries.

But Colm Dalton, from Co Kerry, still has 6,425 boozers to go on his worldwide stout mission.

The university lecturer has so far been to the likes of Athens, Amsterdam, the Azores, Bali, Belgrade, Cologne, Cyprus, Jakarta, Leipzig, Rhodes, Sarajevo, and Singapore.

Next on his list is Bangalore in India, another at the foothills of the Himalayas in the Far East, and one called Bubbles O'Leary's in Uganda.

Colm, 39, from Fenit near Tralee, said: "I'm trying to visit every single Irish pub in the world. That's the goal. I'm just curious to visit places with Irish pubs in different countries and contexts and the weirder the better.

"There are apparently 6,500 Irish pubs outside of Ireland, so I've got a bit to go.

AUTHENTIC

"My golden rule is that if the pub is called Irish Pub, that's not a good sign, stay away from that one.
