THEY have shared some major career milestones and Andy Boyle hopes that Daryl Horgan's return to Dundalk will be the catalyst for more big days together, perhaps as soon as this season.
Dubliner Boyle joined Dundalk first time around at the end of 2013, Galwegian Horgan followed suit a year later and together they won three Leagues and a FAI Cup with Stephen Kenny's ultra-successful team.
Their performances as the Lilywhites progressed to the Champions Cup play-off ound and into the Europa League group ages in 2016 earned them their first eland call-up under Martin O'Neill in October of that year.
Less than two months later, they both joined Preston North End, before both came off the bench in the 62nd minute Boyle for John Egan, Horgan for Johnny Hayes - to make their international debuts in a friendly defeat to Iceland at the Aviva Stadium in March 2017.
