The sands of time for me are running SLOW

BRENDAN CLARKE will take a leaf out of Ben Foster’s book when he finally hangs up his gloves - but the Galway No.1 insists that won’t be happening any time soon. 

Former Manchester United and England goalkeeper Foster announced his second retirement on Sunday at the age of 40, shortly after Wrexham’s 5-5 draw with Swindon Town.

Clarke turns 38 next month and made his 500th senior appearance in Galway’s 5-1 FAI Cup defeat to UCD.

Afterwards, Clarke revealed there were no plans to call it a day and he reflected on some of the highlights of his 500 games to date.
